I   arrived   in   Spain   from   UK   on   30th   September 2016   and   was   picked   up   at   Malaga   airport   by Paco,    a    friend    of    Sue,    the    owner    of    the apartment     I     rented     Sue’s     apartment     in Malaga   for   two   months   in   the   autumn   of   both 2016 and 2017.
Málaga   lies   on   the   Costa   del   Sol   (Coast   of   the   Sun)   of   the   Western      Mediterranean,   about 100   km   east   of   the   Strait   of   Gibraltar   and   about   130   km   from   the   north   of African   coast. The city   is   an   important   tourist   destination,   and   is   known   as   "the   capital   of   the   Costa   del   Sol". There   are   many   interesting   places   to   visit   in   the   city,   but   the   Cazaba,   the   Malaga   Cathedral, the   birthplace   of   Pablo   Picasso   and   the   Museo   Picasso   Málaga   are   top   of   the   list.   The   old town   is   a   very   popular   area,   which   is   where   I   shall   be   staying.   Málaga   harbour   is   the second   busiest   cruise   port   on   the   Iberian   Peninsula.   Whilst   most   of   my   time   will   be   spent   in Malaga,   I   also   plan   to   visit   other   places   in   the   area,   such   as   Feurengirola,   Mijas,   Ronda, Seville, Marbella and Gibraltar. Pictures from those visits maybe posted on separate pages.
Picasso was born in Malaga
